Eastside Union School District is seeking qualified contractors to submit bids for the installation of (7) shade structures at (3) of our elementary schools. The scope work includes but is not limited to installation of durable and safe shade structures in designated areas on school grounds. We are also seeking installation of water filling stations at designated school sites. o Enterprise Elementary School Shade Structure and Playgrounds o Scope of work includes, but is not limited to a) the demolition of (2) existing drinking fountains, the demolition of (3) 38'x16' existing shade structures, and the demolition of (1) 30'x40' existing shade structure; b) the installation of (2) 40'x44' new metal shade structures and associated flatwork; c) the installation of (1) 40'x64' new metal shade structure and associated flatwork; d) the installation of (4) new accessible bottle filling stations with associated framing; e) the installation of (2) new 24'x50' artificial turf areas; and f) the installation of new parking signages at exiting ADA stalls in existing parking lots. Work includes new underground utilities with sawcut, trenching, backfill with asphalt and concrete patch back, as well as new electrical conduit pathway and wiring through existing buildings (walls, ceilings, patching, painting, etc.) to existing panels for new power, lighting, and associated controls. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess the following State of California Contractor License: B, C10, C36 and other applicable licenses. A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District, cash, or a cashier's check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the Eastside Union School District, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form and Proposal, as a guarantee that the Bidder will, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. All work needs to be completed by September 9, 2025 The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. If the District awards the Contract, the security of unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60) calendar days from the time the award is made. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening.
