Guilford Township (The Owner) will receive bids for the Project entitled Archer Drive Extension Phase II located at Archer Drive, Guilford Township, Pennsylvania Clearing and grubbing, erosion and sedimentation controls, grading, storm sewer, stormwater basins, placement / compaction of fill material, paving Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the form of AIA Document A310 Bid Bond, from an approved Surety Company, certified check, or cashier's check payable to the Owner, in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Base Bid. Item 0205-0001 BORROW EXCAVATION is additional fill that will need to be imported to construct fill areas outside of the 2RC stone required under the roadway. Item 0206-0001 PLACEMENT AND COMPACITON OF EMBANKMENT AND FILL is for the placement of fill, including imported fill and on-site cut. This number excludes pavement/subbase/2RC subgrade in roadway material and topsoil respread. Provide 2RC at the width specified in the ARCHER DRIVE TYPICAL SECTION and the LIGHTHOUSE ROAD TYPICAL SECTION on sheet CD-24. A 1:1 side slope may be used for 2RC, with regular embankment fill and topsoil placed above up to finished grade. No separate inspector trailer is required. It is not anticipated that DB (DSP4) requirements will need to be submitted through ECMS as part of the Multimodal Grant. Super silt fence may not be used to substitute wooden baffles in basins. Three (3) 24 socks are required to make up the diversion berm. Topsoil must be spread for the construction of the three temporary embankment sediment traps to facilitate seeding and stabilization. Additionally, upon removal of the sediment traps, topsoil must be reapplied to restore and stabilize the disturbed areas. A certified detour traffic plan is not required. Contractors must only coordinate road closures with the Township Road Master. Basin underdrain cleanouts are required. A detail will be added to the construction drawings.
