**As of June 17,2025, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid.** The window restoration project of the Orange County Corrections 33rd Street Campus includes the replacement of all exterior window sealant joints and the restoration of all window components exposed to the weather. Where a scope of work item is designated, that designation is typical for all similar components and assemblies whether or not specifically denoted/called out in the drawings. All hazardous materials are to be removed as designated by owner's provided testing reports. Where hazardous materials are found, assume typical for similar individual building components. In the alternative, a Certified Check, or a Cashier's Check shall be required to accompany each electronic offer in a stated dollar amount of not less than ten (10%) percent of the sum of the total estimated contract amount for the base period. Orange County will bear the cost of all permits, licenses, and fees imposed on the work/project by agencies of the Orange County Board of County Commissioners. This does not alleviate the selected Respondent from obtaining and procuring the permits, as required by the County A Bid, Payment and Performance Bond are a requirement when the offer/contract amount exceeds $100,000. Respondents shall attach an electronic copy of their bid bond for responsiveness. Submission of the bid bond, along with a certified and effectively dated copy of the power of attorney, shall be completed and signed by all required parties and submitted on the form provided in the solicitation. Submittal of a bid bond less than 10% of the total estimated contract amount for base period, shall result in the bid being deemed non-responsive. A. Work shall start at the project site within fourteen (14) days of the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. B. Substantially complete in two hundred forty days (240) consecutive calendar days from date of Official Notice to Proceed. C. Final completion in two hundred seventy days (270) consecutive calendar days from date of Official Notice to Proceed. Should the Contractor fail to substantially complete all Work under this Contract and make the project available for beneficial use on or before the date stipulated for Substantial Completion (or such later date as may result from extension of time granted by County), he shall pay and/or the County may retain from the compensation otherwise to be paid to the Contractor, as liquidated damages, the sum of $150.00 for each consecutive calendar day that terms of the Contract remain unfulfilled beyond date allowed by the Contract, which sum is agreed upon as a reasonable and proper measure of damages which County will sustain per diem by failure of Contractor to complete work within time as stipulated Orange County reserves the right, and the Manager of the Procurement Division, has the absolute and sole discretion to cancel a solicitation at any time prior to approval of the award by the Board of County Commissioners when such approval is required.
