The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT), Procurement Shared Services (PSS), on behalf of NTHSSA is requesting tenders for the purpose of Cleaning Services for Day Shelter The NTHSSA Day Shelter is located at 4807 49th Street. (former Northern Frontier Visitors Centre parking lot). Hours of operation are from 0630-1830hrs 7 day a week OBJECTIVES: o To provide cleaning of the day shelter every day after the shelter has closed (between the hours of 1900h and 0500h) o Complete one deep cleaning of the space every weekend (Saturday or Sunday) after the day shelter has closed (between the hours of 1900h and 0500h). o To provide cleaning of the staff office trailer three times per week. SCOPE OF WORK: o Cleaning services will be provided between the hours of 1900h and 0500h, while the day shelter is closed. o Areas of the shelter include: o Shelter entrance/screening area. o Intake office o Main floor of the shelter, including both trailers (main zone plus quiet zone). o 3 washrooms, one includes a shower. o Kitchen/dining area. o Office trailer (includes offices, staff room with kitchen, staff washroom). o Other areas as needed. o Cleaning will include: o Cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, railings, tables, chairs, counters (serving area, coffee station, microwave station, kitchen counter), toilet handles, faucets, and sinks. o Cleanup of spills, wiping any surfaces that appear untidy or dirty. o Mopping Shelter Floor including storage area and both trailers. o Discarding garbage, emptying garbage cans, replacing garbage bags. o On the weekends, between the hours of 1900h and 0500h after the shelter has closed a deep clean will be completed. This can occur on one day or can be divided over 2 days. The deep clean includes: o Thorough wipe down of bathrooms, including walls. o Cleaning of kitchen space, including wipe down of all counter surfaces, cleaning of industrial range and stove vents. o Wipe down surfaces that are visibly dirty, including walls, external vents & columns, windows. o Moving furniture to clean behind cabinets, shelving and tv stand. o Washing out mop bucket. o Cleaning out garbage bins. o The contract manager may request specific cleaning be completed if an area has been identified as needing to be cleaned, this might include vents or areas that are visibly dirty. o Services shall come equipped with approved cleaning and disinfection agents as referenced in this document TERM OF THE CONTRACT: This Contract is for 12 months commencing April 1, 2025, until March 31, 2026, and may be extended, at the sole discretion of the GNWT, for a further three (3) additional terms of (6) month. The NTHSSA reserves the right to seek an extension to the bid validity period prescribed herein. Upon notification in writing from the NTHSSA Bidders shall have the option to either accept or reject the proposed extension.
