Various library locations experienced damages from Hurricane Ian. These damages resulted from high winds and flooding/storm surge and need to be repaired. As of August 8, 2025, this project commenced mid June 2025 and is expected to complete in September 2025. Only the Vanderbilt Library Signage portion of the project remains. The previous solicitation is for reference purposes only. Question Submission Deadline: March 21, 2025, 3:00pm Scope: o Immokalee Library (417 N. 1 st Street, Immokalee, FL 34142) o Roof Repair Replace approximately forty (40) damaged or missing asphalt roof shingles for a full repair of all damaged or missing roof shingles. Shingles include standard roof shingles and ridge cap shingles. Approximately thirty (30) shingles are on the north side of the building, six (6) at the south side, and four (4) on the west side. Match color, style, size and rise as currently installed/existing. Install per manufacturers recommendations and include all installation materials for a proper install and watertight repair. Reset and replace adjacent shingles as necessary to create water-tight seal. Include all necessary hardware and removal or replacement of adjacent tiles as necessary for a full and complete repair. Remove and reinstall any removed lightning protection system rods or bonding cables as necessary to access and facilitate repairs and match existing. o Unit Price (all inclusive): Replace Damaged Sheathing Include replacement of up to two hundred and fifty-six (256) square feet of rotted or damaged sheathing up to 3/4 " with the roof repair, as it has been exposed to the elements. Reinstall new wood, all matching moisture barrier(s) and grout as required to match existing. Quantities must be tracked and submitted by unit price for billing. All quantities must be preapproved in writing prior to order and install. o Vanderbilt Library (788 Vanderbilt Beach Rd., Naples, FL 34108) o Replace Wood Sign Replace the damaged exterior 'COLLIER COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY VANDERBILT BEACH BRANCH' wood sign by the parking lot. Replace the four (4) approximately 7.5 ft x1.5 ft wood posts and the three (3) horizontal boards for the 10 ft x 3 ft sign to match existing size, decorative cuts, lettering, colors, and paint. Paint per CCVS for exterior wood. Materials shall be stainless steel hardware and pressure treated wood for exterior use to match CCVS. Proof and editing submittals are required to be approved by County Project Manager prior to replacing the sign. Ensure posts are level and plumb. Recompact around base to properly secure the posts. Restore all disturbed area to its previous condition. o Naples Regional/Central Library (650 Central Ave., Naples, FL 34102) o Replace Fascia Replace an approximately 20-foot-long section of 6-inch aluminum fascia that was bent by winds on the north side of the building. Replace an approximately 25-foot-long section of damaged aluminum fascia that was bent on the north side of the building. Match fascia to existing size, style, and paint to existing color. Ensure a seamless, waterproof finish, securing properly to the existing fascia with matching fasteners per CCVS. Match fascia to existing size, style, and paint to existing color.
