Submission of bids shall be conclusive assurance and warranty that the bidder has examined the proposed work and understands all of the requirements for performance of the work. The bidder will be responsible for all errors in its bid resulting from failure or neglect to conduct an in-depth examination. Sealed envelopes or packages containing a bid shall be addressed to the City Clerk and plainly marked INVITATION FOR BIDS FOR THE MULTIYEAR CONCRETE FLAT WORK FOR THE CITY OF ROLLING MEADOWS, ILLINOIS on the outside of the envelope. All bids can be found online on the City of Rolling Meadows website, or can be requested from Brad Valentino at valentinob@cityrm.org. Any questions must be made in writing and shall be addressed to Brad Valentino, Streets and Refuse Superintendent, 3600 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows, Illinois 60008 or electronically mailed to the Streets and Refuse Superintendent, Brad Valentino at valentinob@cityrm.org. The written questions, along with the Citys responses, shall be circulated to all known prospective bidders without identifying the party submitting the questions. The cut-off for receipt of additional questions shall be 11:00 A.M. Central Daylight Savings Time on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in order to facilitate preparation of any addenda. No inquiry received after that time will be given consideration. Replies and/or addenda will be mailed and electronically mailed to all known prospective bidders by 12:00 P.M. Central Daylight Savings Time on Friday, March 21, 2025. Receipt of any addenda must be acknowledged in writing as part of the bidders Proposal. Bidders shall be responsible for ensuring that they have received any and all addenda. The City of Rolling Meadows shall not assume responsibility for the receipt by the bidder of any addenda. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of a bid bond, executed by a corporate surety company, a bank cashier check or a certified check payable to theCity of Rolling Meadows for not less than five percent (5%) of $193,000. The bid guaranty checks of all, except the two responsive, responsible bidders which the City determines in its sole discretion to be the bidders with whom the City desires to commence negotiations for a contract, will be returned after the bids have been checked and tabulated. The bid guaranty checks of the responsive, responsible bidder will be returned after the contract and the contract bond of the successful bidder have been properly executed and approved. Bid bonds will not be returned. Bidders seeking to submit for any equipment not meeting the specifications must contact Brad Valentino Streets and Refuse Superintendent, 3600 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows, Illinois 60008 and obtain the written approval to submit the non-compliant bid not less than ten (10) days prior to the bid opening. No bid shall be withdrawn after submission of the bid without the consent of the City of Rolling Meadows for a period of ninety (90) days after the scheduled deadline for submission of bids. The City of Rolling Meadows will review all bids received and reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to accept the bids as the Rolling Meadows City Council determines, in its sole discretion, to be in the best interest of the City of Rolling Meadows.,
