As of May 22, 2025, project is awarded to Mauro Sewer Construction, Inc. in the amount of $689,998.60. The Contract work shall consist of furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, etc. required to install approximately 901 feet of 10-inch open cut ductile iron water main, approximately 86 feet of 10-inch water main bored and jacked in 20aEUR casing, water service lines, valves, vaults, fire hydrants, pavement patching, concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement, restoration, and all other incidental work necessary to complete this improvement along Algonquin Parkway in the City of Rolling Meadows. A Performance Bond equal to 100% of the amount of the bid with sureties will be required of the successful bidder. The City reserves the right to defer award of the contract for up to sixty (60) calendar days after the date bids are received, and to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive bids and re-advertise for bids, if determined to be in the City the best interests. Pre-qualification of Bidders in accordance with Section 102 of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction in Illinois is required, along with a list of references in accordance with the General Provisions. All bids must be accompanied by a 5% bid bond, as defined in the General Requirements. No bids will be considered unless accompanied by such bond, check or draft. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/.01) and the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act (30 ILCS 570).
