Tanque Verde Unified School District #13 is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide outsourced custodial services for a contract commencing on July 1, 2025. The district has encountered challenges in adequately staffing its custodial operations and intends to engage a firm to fulfill these requirements. Currently, TVUSD serves a total student population of 2,160 across one high school, one junior high, one preschool, and two elementary schools. Background Tanque Verde has long been recognized as an exemplary school district, with excelling, "A" rated schools and an overall district grade of "A" in 2022-23 and 2023-24, as determined by the Arizona Department of Education. With the addition of a comprehensive 9-12 high school in 2005, the District now serves approximately 2,200 students at four school sites, comprised of two K-6 elementary schools, one 7-8 junior high school, and one 9-12 high school. The Tanque Verde Community Preschool was founded at Tanque Verde Elementary School in 2019, making TVES a PreK-6 grade school. The success of the District is attributed to a highly supportive community, and an accomplished, dedicated and caring staff of over 280 employees who work to provide the highest quality education and support services to all District students. The District endeavors to create pathways to success for all students and to ensure effective communication, collaboration, school partnerships and facilities that provide a safe and supportive environment for students and staff members. The Governing Board and District Goals are guided by the following District Vision, Mission and Values. Tanque Verde Unified School District #13 is seeking the services of a competent firm to provide Outsourced Custodial Services. This includes using your chemicals and equipment. Tanque Verde Unified School District #13 will supply hand soap, paper products, and can-liners. Daily your firm will check communications logs for comments. The district currently uses Waxie and Brady Industries for supplies. 7.2. Kitchen and Food Storage Cleaning of the kitchen and food storage areas are not included in this scope of work. 7.3. APPA Level of Cleanliness In lieu of telling you how to clean, dust, vacuum, mop, wax, etc. here is the standard: APPA Level Three during the year and Deep Cleaning during the Summer is APPA Level Two. 7.4. Interior Areas and Sideways The Comprehensive cleaning, sanitizing, and other special procedures of all building interior areas and sidewalks directly adjacent to the building; including requirements for frequency and provisions for chemicals and equipment use. 7.5. Areas Daily: General Offices Meeting Rooms Glass in Entry Doors Classrooms Hallways Restrooms and Lunchroom 7.6. Day Porter Services Day porter services may be required during regular business hours or while the facility is in use. Services may include but are not limited to: Cleaning common areas, lobbies, restrooms and outdoor spaces Cleaning spills and emptying trash Performing minor repairs such as changing lightbulbs, touching up paint and replacing batteries Restocking supplies in restrooms Receiving deliveries for the site Assembling and dismantling meeting events 7.7. End of each day Notify building contact of irregularities in daily log book or email. Turn off all lights, except those designated by the district. Close/lock windows and doors, notify TVUSD. Set Alarm. 7.8. Weekly Service in all Areas High dust all horizontal surfaces Dust all wood panel surfaces Dust blinds Damp clean chair mats Dust baseboards Sanitize phones Dust HVAC vents Vacuum edges of carpeted areas Spot clean doors, frames, light switches, etc. 7.9. Resupply Disposables Firm may be required to distribute district-supplied consumables such as toilet paper, paper towel, soap, etc. to various facilities. District's consumables shall not be used for cleaning services unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. 7.10. Quarterly Buff all waxed floors in high-traffic areas Spot clean carpets 7.11. Summer Deep Cleaning All rooms, including their furnishings shall be brought up to APPA Leve 2. Question Deadline 03/19/2025 at 12:00 PM MT Question Submission electronically.
