Demolition and site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Bellingham, Washington. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The City of Kennewick is requesting bids for a project at the Civic Athletic Complex located at 209 W. 6th Avenue, Kennewick, WA 99336, directly behind the Kennewick Police Department. The project consists of the demolition of the existing restroom located in between the three baseball fields, installation of three electrical services, and preparation of the site for installation of the new restroom to be built by a third party under separate contract. The engineer's estimate for this project is $75,600. All work must be completed on the project no later than July 31, 2025. A bid bond is required. Bidder shall submit with its bid either a surety company bid bond on a form provided by the Owner, or a cashier's or certified check payable to the order of the City of Kennewick, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid that could be awarded. A City of Kennewick business license is required. The project will consist of demolishing and properly disposing of the entire restroom structure and foundation to the subgrade along with a portion of the asphalt around the current restroom. Portion of asphalt to be removed will include any required to prep the site for new electrical, plumbing, and future concrete walkway. Subgrade of the new restroom footprint must be within 6" of finish floor elevation. New foot print will be 28' - 08" x 13' - 04" not including concrete walkway. Concrete walkway identified in plan sets will also need to be prepped to appropriate elevation. It also includes the abatement of identified asbestos on the existing restroom as noted in asbestos report included as ATTACHMENT G. The project also includes providing and installing materials and equipment for site improvements as noted on the plan sheets and specifications included as ATTACHMENT F. Any asphalt that is removed will need to be poured back around new structure and concrete walkway once complete. Three electrical services exist, two (2) of which must be placed on a pedestal to the west of the existing transformer. The third will need to be installed on the new restroom once walls are built. It will also include working with the utility company to install new transformer which includes removing the old concrete pad and installing a new concrete pad for a new transformer, building the pedestal and installing required equipment as mentioned in provided plan sets for the two (2) services that service the ballfields and coordinating with Benton PUD to connect all services. Plumbing must be properly sized, per plumbing code, with 2" piping so a proper amount of flow can enter the restroom while irrigation in the area is running. Plumbing must have appropriate backflow preventer installed. All plumbing must be set within at maximum 10' from new restroom footprint as noted on plan sets provided.
