This project consists of 1,113 LF 8" PVC sewer main, 258 LF 8" PVC w/ 12" casing, 6 manholes, a grease trap, 146 LF 6" PVC Sewer Service, 646 LF 4" PVC, service connections, and associated miscellaneous work. American Iron and Steel requirements apply to this project. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security as required by Iowa Code section 26.8, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety bond, acceptable to the Owner, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the amount of the contract. The bid security shall be made payable to Owner in an amount of five (5) percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and shall be in the form of a cashier's check or certified check drawn on a state-chartered or federally chartered bank, or a certified share draft drawn on a state-chartered or federally chartered credit union, or a Bid bond (on the form included in the Bidding Documents) issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraphs 6.01 of the General Conditions. The Project has an expected duration of 179 calendar days (November 14, 2025) to substantial completion and 207 calendar days (December 19, 2025) to final completion. Work on the improvement shall commence on or after the date specified in the written "Notice to Proceed." Notice to Proceed is anticipated May 19, 2025.
