As of July 23, 2025. Bids were rejected. No definite date for the rebid. The project involves the removal of LBP from the exterior of the building as necessary to complete the scope of work. The contractor shall remove lead-based paint from all exterior columns coated with white LBP; these components are to be repainted. In addition, all brown LBP on the exterior walls of the building shall be removed prior to repainting. All lead-based paint disturbance, removal, or abatement shall be the responsibility of the Contractor and shall be performed by a company and personnel who are properly certified and trained in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rules and Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) requirements. Any materials coated with LBP that are removed must be handled and disposed of in accordance with applicable Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) and DHS regulations. All waste generated during LBP removal, including paint residues, cleaning materials, and containment debris must be properly characterized, managed, and disposed of by certified personnel with the appropriate health and safety training. The contractor is responsible for ensuring that all work involving LBP is conducted in compliance with applicable regulations and that all waste is properly handled and disposed. It is the contractor's responsibility to determine whether notification is required under Wisconsin Administrative Code NR 447 for demolition or renovation activities and, if required, to submit notification to WDNR at least 10 working days prior to the start of work. No asbestos testing has been completed as part of this project, any required testing would be at the contractor's expense.
