City Park Restrooms The City of Salisbury is seeking a firm with experience in the design and construction administration of park restrooms for government entities. The City has identified the need for a new public restroom facility at City Park, located at the intersection of W. Miller Street and Club Drive, parcel #003-064, address 355 W Miller Street. The proposed restroom area is approximately 20'x20', and it will serve park visitors and support the park's recreational activities. The restroom facility will be situated near key park amenities, making it an essential addition for the convenience and comfort of visitors. This project will provide modern restroom facilities to enhance the overall park experience for the Salisbury community This project requires several key features to ensure durability, security, and ease of maintenance. The restroom facility should have a durable, low-maintenance exterior and interior, such as painted split-face block, to deter vandalism. Fixtures should be commonly available for easy replacement in case of damage, and a metal roof is preferred for its long-lasting durability and low upkeep. The design should incorporate occupancy sensors for lighting, along with an alarm system connected to the police department for enhanced security. Timed automatic locking doors, along with panic bars for emergency egress after hours, and outward swinging doors, are essential. The facility should also accommodate wet areas with washdown capabilities and include hookups for cleaning. To ensure functionality during colder months, a heated plumbing chase is required to prevent freezing. We are seeking architectural services that include full site development, architectural design, and construction administration. The selected firm should provide specifications and construction documents that comply with local, state, and federal guidelines and codes. The design should incorporate ADA accessibility requirements, energy-efficient features, and considerations for sustainable building practices.
