Bid No. 2025-01 District Wide Asphalt Slurry and StripeNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Solana Beach School District (“District”) of San DiegoCounty, California, acting by and through its Board of Trustees, will receive for bid package:Bid No. 2025-01 District Wide Asphalt Slurry and StripeDESCRIPTION OF WORK: The scope of work for the Solana Beach School District wideAsphalt & Slurry Stripe Projects includes complete asphalt repair, slurry, striping, and play areapaintings for schools designated in the bid documents. The projects are to be performed over thesummer of 2025 with a start date of June 1 and project completion date of July 31st.BID DOCUMENTS: All interested parties may obtain a copy of the bid, at no charge, from theDistrict’s website: https://www.sbsd.k12.ca.us/bidsBID SUBMISSION: Bids shall be delivered via email to facilities@sbsd.net by 2:00 PM onTuesday, April 4, 2025. Any bid received by the Solana Beach School District after this date andtime shall be deemed nonresponsive and returned to the Bidder unopened.PRE-BID: A Mandatory pre-bid conference will be held in person on Monday, March 24, 2025,at 11:30 a.m. at the Solana Beach School District, located at 309 N. Rios Ave, Solana Beach, CA92075The class(es) of California contractor’s license(s) required in order to bid on and perform thecontract for this project is: C-12 - Earthwork and Paving ContractorsOther required licensing/certification which can be referenced under Permits and Licenses foundin the Bid Specification Requirement section.PREVAILING WAGES: Pursuant of Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1, all contractors andsubcontractors that wish to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, or enter into a contract to performpublic work must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (“DIR"). No bid willbe accepted, nor any contract entered into without proof of the contractor’s and subcontractors’current registration with the DIR to perform public work. If awarded a contract, the bidder, andits subcontractors, of any tier, shall maintain active registration with the DIR for the duration ofthe project. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. Inbidding on this project, it shall be the bidder’s sole responsibility to evaluate and include the costof complying with all labor compliance requirements under this contract and applicable law in itsbid. Wages rate can be found at the California Department of Industrial Relations web site athttp://www.dir.ca.gov/DLSR/.Each bid must be submitted with security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of themaximum bid amount as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract, ifawarded to the bidder, and will provide the performance and payment bonds, insurancecertificates and other documents described in the contract documents. Such security must be inone of the following forms: (1) a cashier’s check made payable to the district; (2) a certifiedcheck made payable to the district; or (3) a bond made payable to the district in the form set forthin the contract documents. Any bond must have been issued by a California-admitted surety asdefined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120. The successful bidder will be required toprovide both a performance bond and a separate payment bond, each in an amount equal to100% of the total contract amount. The forms of the bonds are set forth in the contractdocuments and all bonds must be issued by a California-admitted surety as defined in CaliforniaCode of Civil Procedure Section 995.120.The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or combination of bids and towaive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process. No bidder maywithdraw any bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date set for the opening of thisbid.
