Renovation of a water / sewer project in Decatur, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Remove and dispose of two (2) 120' final clarifier mechanisms (10 and 12) and procuring and installing three (3) new 120' final clarifier mechanisms (clarifier tanks 10, 11, and 12), platforms, and scum troughs and scum beach plates. Prior to installation of the clarifier 11 mechanism, the contractor will be responsible for removal and replacement of the existing clarifier floor and 20 feet of damaged feed and drain line piping. Existing walkways to the center structures of the clarifiers are being reused. The contractor will sandblast, paint and coat with UV resistant paint. There will be miscellaneous underwater paint required for existing piping not being replaced. Scum beach plates and scum troughs will be removed and replaced with new on all three clarifiers. The distribution structure feeding the final clarifiers has painted carbon steel baffling that needs to be replaced. The contractor will remove baffling and purchase and install new 316 stainless steel distribution baffling and miscellaneous baffling throughout the structure. There are 23 gates in the aeration tanks and effluent channels that are being rehabilitated in this contract. The existing gate slides are being removed and disposed. The contractor will procure new slides, repair pitting on embedded gate frames, replace existing seals, and install and commission new sealed gate systems and remove existing electrical actuators. There are 4 additional clarifiers that steel and internal mechanisms are only being removed from the inside of the structures. Question Deadline 05/07/2025
