The OMH, NYSPI is looking for quotes for the Furnish and Install 800AMP 4 pole Bypass Automatic Transfer Switch at our New York State Psychiatric Institute - Office of Mental Health located at 1051 Riverside Drive, Ste 1919 New York N.Y. 10032. The electrical panel is in Building 5/P-level - Switchgear room. OMH hereby establishes an overall goal of 6% for SDVOB participation, based on the current availability of qualified SDVOBs Scope of Work: Furnish and Install 800AMP 4 pole Bypass Automatic Transfer Switch at our New York State Psychiatric Institute - Office of Mental Health located at 1051 Riverside Drive, Ste 1919 New York N.Y. 10032. The electrical panel is in Building 5/P-level - Switchgear room. Contractors will be required to: o Take voltage, amperage, and thermographic images of existing conditions prior to starting any work. o Safe off all existing live wiring to allow work to be safely performed within the existing enclosure o Remove the blown internal automatic-switch and bypass switch within existing ATS enclosure. o Furnish new 800-amp ATS switch. o Prep the existing enclosure to fit the new 800-amp ATS switch component, anchored and secured in place to receive the normal, generator, and load side wiring with minimal modifications to existing wiring. Wire in existing normal, generator, and load side wiring and torque to manufacturers specifications. Wire in control wiring from generator to new switch. o Ensure ASCO representative/technician are in place to start up the switch, starting on normal power. o Test all line and load voltages, amperage and take thermographic imaging, compare to previous readings, and report any anomalies to the Facility. o Work with ASCO to program and commission new switch based on Facility defined delays. o Switch over ATS to generator standby power, record all voltages, amperage and take thermographic imaging, compare to previous and normal side readings, and report any anomalies to the Facility. o All shutdowns need to be coordinated with the Facility. o All applicable NFPA and NEC, state and local codes. Proposal should include all materials and labor associated with this project. Questions and Answers: Questions answered during the site visit will not be considered official responses. All questions must be submitted in writing by the bidder. All eligible bidders will receive an email containing the official responses to all questions received by the due date. All written questions regarding this solicitation must be sent to bids@omh.ny.gov via e-mail only by March 21, 2025 3:00PM. Questions and answers will be accumulated by NYS Office of Mental Health and sent to all potential bidders by March 25, 2025.
