Site work, paving, outdoor lighting, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Completed plans call for the addition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Project includes site work, stone masonry, cast in place concrete, storm drain structures, signage, thermo-striping, pedestrian light poles, and new sun shade structures. The work to be performed by the General Contractor consist of but is not limited to the following major items: o SITE SECURITY including temporary fencing around site and staging. o EROSION CONTROL BMP's including tree save fencing, silt fence, concrete washout area, mulching,and inlet sediment trap. o DEMOLITION including removal of tree, shrubs, sod, and sun shade fabric. It also involves relocating sign poles, a light pole, and site furnishing. It includes protection measures for existing granite walls, paver, and walkways. o SITE WORK, EARTH WORK including the excavation and fine grading of the lawn area to level out (2% fall) the compacted soil. Playworld (not contractor) will install 4" stone base and artificial turf system that will accommodate new anchored playground equipment. Base, turf, and playground equipment will be provided by and installed by others. o STONE MASONRY including the installation of a granite rubble wall and columns adjacent to the fountain plaza and existing concrete walkway that defines and encloses the playground. It also includes the installation of granite rubble seating walls around the perimeter of the playground area. The stone masonry is to match (mock) the existing stone masonry that is already in the immediate Lawrenceville Lawn area. o CAST IN PLACE CONCRETE includes the installation of a header curb to aid in fine grading of the playground area and concrete edging to separate the playyground from the landscaped areas. o JOINT SEALANT includind sealing the joinst between existing walkways and new walls. o STORM DRAIN STRUCTURES includes adjusting the lid of the existing grate inlet to match grade and the installation of a Nyoplast inlet into the existing 18" reinforced concrete pipe. o SIGNAGE including relocating and reinstalling signs and poles and installing a new sign and pole for stroller parking. o STRIPING (THERMO) including thermoplastic striping of existing concrete walkway for designating stroller parking. o PEDESTRIAN LIGHT POLES AND BURIED ELECTRICAL including the relocation and reinstallation of an existing pedestrian light and pole, and the installation on a new additional pedestrian light and pole. o SITE FURNISHING including the installation of new sun shade structures and the fitment and installation of new sun shade fabris on an existing sun shade structure. It also includes the reinstallation of relocated waste bin enclosures. o STEEL ORNAMENTAL FENCE including the installation of a security fence and double gate maintenance entry, and the fabrication and installation of a custom rolled railing on a granite rubble seating wall. o LANDSCAPING including the planting of a new evergreen hedgerow, a new tree, new shrubs, and the muclching of these landscaped islands. Bids are legal and binding upon the bidder when submitted. Bids in the case of Corporations not chartered in Georgia, must be accompanied by proper certification stating that said Corporation is authorized to do business in the State of Georgia. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bidder agrees to complete the Contract awarded within the "allowable calendar days for completion" from 10 days from the date of the "Notice to Proceed". A five percent (5%) bid bond must be submitted with the bid. Successful contractor will be required to provide a one hundred percent (100%) payment and one hundred percent (100%) performance bond as well as an insurance certificate fulfilling requirements as stated in the bid documents. Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-5 or greater, be listed in the Federal Registry of Companies holding Certificate of Authority and acceptable sureties on Federal Bonds, be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia. All bonds must be submitted on forms provided by the City of Lawrenceville and agencies providing bonds and insurance should provide proof that they meet the criteria outlined in the bid and contract documents. Award will be made to the contractor submitting the lowest responsive and responsible bid. The City of Lawrenceville reserves the right to reject any or all bids to waive technicalities and to make an award deemed in its best interest. Bids may be split or awarded in entirety.
