Notice is hereby given that the Fresno Unified School DISTRICT ("DISTRICT") will receive sealed bids for Bid No. 25-36, Exterior Painting at Various Sites, for surface preparation and application of paint systems on exterior substrates. Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 1770 et seq of the California Labor Code, each worker of the contractor and any of its subcontractors engaged in work on the Project shall be paid not less than the prevailing wage rate. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5, the DIR established a Contractor Registration Program, in which no contractor or subcontractor shall bid on, be listed in a bid, or engage in the performance of any public work contract without being registered. Prime Contractor must have a valid Class "C-33" Contractor's License. The time allowed for completion for projects shall be 60 Calendar days. If awarded more than one section, all sections to be done concurrently. The estimate for this project is around $100,000 for Edison Bethune Charter Academy (Section A), $115,000 for Vang Pao Elementary School (Section B), $375,000 for Gaston Middle School (Section C), $200,000 for Tehipite Middle School (Section D), $650,000 for Hoover High School (Section E), $775,000 for Sunnyside High School (Section F). Schoolsites are using the Raptor visitor managementsystem thatrequires all visitorsto show either a government-issued identification card or driver'slicense to receive a badge and enter the campus. Bidders may arrive earlierthan the scheduled time to obtain their badge. This bid consist of 6 projects to be awarded by Section. Each bid section will be opened and read aloud immediately following its designated due time: Section A (Bethune) Prior to 1:00 P.M. Section B (Vang Pao) Prior to 1:30 P.M. Section C (Gaston) Prior to 2:00 P.M. Section D (Tehipite) Prior to 2:30 P.M. Section E (Hoover) Prior to 3:00 P.M. Section F (Sunnyside) Prior to 3:30 P.M. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or a bidder's bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of total bids made payable to Fresno Unified. The substitution of appropriate securities in lieu of retention amounts from progress payments in accordance with Public Contract Code Section 22300 is permitted. Pursuant to Public Contract Code 3400(c)(2), Fresno Unified School DISTRICT finds that it is in the best interest of the DISTRICT to standardize the products, equipment, and materials listed in Exhibit A-1 and Exhibit A-2 in order to match other products/equipment in use on a particular work of improvement either completed or in the course of completion. Where a specific brand, trade name, material, or product identified in the bid documents is also listed in Exhibit A-1 or Exhibit A-2, it shall be deemed to be followed by the words "No Substitutions," and CONTRACTOR shall not make or request substitutions regarding any such product, equipment or material.
