Tates Creek HVAC Replacement. Question Deadline 03/25/2025 at 12:00 PM ET No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the closing date for receipt of bids. Errors and omissions will not be cause for withdrawal of bid without forfeit of bid bond. Bidder must agree to commence work on or before a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" from the OWNER and to fully complete the Project within the time as specified in the Contract. Bidder must agree also to pay $250.00 per calendar day thereafter deadline for final completion. The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government has set a goal that not less than ten percent (10%) of the total value of this Contract be subcontracted to Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, which is made up of MBEs and WBEs, and set a goal that not less than three percent (3%) of the total value of this Contract be subcontracted to VeteranOwned Small Businesses. If the bid is $50,000 or greater, bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government in an amount not less than Five Percent (5%) of the base bid. Bid bond shall be executed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and countersigned by a licensed Kentucky Resident Agent, representing the Surety Company. Bid Bonds are not required for bids under $50,000. A cashier's check or irrevocable letter of credit is an acceptable form of bid security. The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government may be served. To that end the urban county council adopted and implemented Resolution 272-2024 – a Certified Minority and Women Business Enterprise seventeen percent (17%) minimum goal including minimum subgoals of five percent (5%) for Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and a subgoal of twelve percent (12%) for Women Business Enterprises (WBE); a three (3%) minimum goal for Certified Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and/or Certified Service- Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses; and a goal of utilizing Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), where applicable, for government contracts
