SOUTH EOLA LIFT STATION & FORCE MAIN UPGRADE FOR THE CITY OF BROUSSARD The work shall consist of the following: Construct approximately +/- 8,971 LF of sewer force main and upgrade existing duplex lift station located on SouthEola Road in the City of Broussard. Construction Time: 210 calendar days, exclusive of delays beyond the Contractors control from the date stipulated in the written Notice to Proceed. 1. BID BOND: A "Bid Guarantee" equivalent to 5% of the bid price consisting of a firm commitment, such as a bid bond,certified check, or other negotiable instrument, shall accompany each bid as assurance that the bidder will, upon acceptance of his bid, execute such contractual documents as may be required and within the time specified. 2. PERFORMANCE BOND: A performance bond of not less than 100% of the contract price shall be executed to assure the Contractor's faithful performance of the contract. 3. PAYMENT BOND: A payment bond of not less than 100% of the contract price shall be executed to assure payment as required by law of all persons supplying labor and material in the performance of the work provided by the contract. Only the bids of contractors licensed under Louisiana Contractor's Licensing Law R.S. 37:2150-2164 will be considered forbids exceeding $50,000.00. Should the bid exceed $50,000.00, contractors desiring to bid shall submit evidence that theyhold license of proper classification (Municipal and Public Works Construction classification required) in full force andeffect at the time drawings, specifications and forms are requested from the office of the Engineers. The bidder shall show hislicense number on the bid and on the sealed envelope in which their bid is enclosed. No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least forty-five (45) days after the time scheduled for the opening of bids. Each bid shall be submitted only on the Bid Form. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause; such actions will be in accordance with La. R.S. 38:2214.
