Completed plans call for the addition of a 2,455-square-foot clubhouse / community center; for the demolition of a clubhouse / community center; for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; and for site work for a clubhouse / community center.

Prior approvals and questions are to be submitted via email 5 days prior to the addendum deadline. Sealed bids or electronic bids are requested by the City of St. Gabriel from general contractors for construction of: PROJECT NAME: Additions and Renovations to St. Gabriel Community Center PROJECT LOCATION: 1400 Gordan Simon Leblanc Drive, St. Gabriel,LA 70776 The successful Bidder is allowed One-Hundred Fifty (150) calendar days to complete the Project from the commencement date stated in the Agreement or a Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $1,000.00 for each consecutive calendar day for which the work is not substantially complete and $1,000.00 for each consecutive calendar day beginning the 46th day after the date of Substantial Completion for which all of the work listed on the punch list is not complete. The City of St. Gabriel has adopted a Fair Share Procurement Policy with a goal of at least twenty (20%) percent participation by MWBEs. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid and include all additive alternates in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond. The successful bidder is required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount and a Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount written by a company that complies with the provisions of La. R.S. 38:2219 and on the City of St. Gabriel Forms included in the Bidding Documents. Bidders must meet the requirements of the State of Louisiana Contractor's Licensing Law, R.S. 37:2151 et seq. City of St. Gabriel reserves the right to award the project on whatever basis is in the interest of the Owner and to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities as allowed by law.
