Renovation of a service station / car wash facility in Martinez, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a service station / car wash facility.
The prime contractor for this project shall hold a valid Class B General Building Contractor license. Prime contractor shall also have 5-10 years of experience with current HCAI 1 projects, experience working in occupied and operational hospital environments, and experience working in Sterile Processing Departments (SPD). The project includes the removal of an existing cart washer and installing a new cart washer in the hospital's SPD. There is also the installation of a new DI water system and air compressor in the boiler room and stairwell. Work includes but is not necessarily limited to demolition and removal of the old cart washer, modifying the existing building structure to accommodate the new cart washer, installing the new cart washer, installing the new DI water system, installing a new air compressor, and other minor modifications as shown in the drawings titled "CCRMC Cart Wash Upgrade, 2500 Alhambra Avenue, Martinez, CA 94553 - HCAI Backcheck Response 05/12/2023" and "CCRMC Cart Wash Upgrade, 2500 Alhambra Avenue, Martinez, CA 94553 - Change Order CO-01 / ACD0001 12/20/2024" by Ratcliff. The contractor shall also procure the new cart washer, DI water system, and any associated parts and pieces for both pieces of equipment. Furthermore, the contractor shall adhere to instructions provided by the hospital's Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) department. Each bid is to be in accordance with the drawings and specifications on file at the Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, First Floor, County Administration Building, 1025 Escobar Street, Martinez, California. Additional doc acq note: The drawings and specifications may be examined at the County Public Works Department, 255 Glacier Drive, Martinez, California 94553-4897, Monday - Thursday (7:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.) and Friday (8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.). Drawings and specifications are not available for purchase at the 255 Glacier Drive location. Drawings and specifications (not including documents included by reference) and proposal forms may be obtained by prospective bidders via the Contra Costa County Public Works Department's Online Planroom Question Deadline 04/07/2025 at 3:30 PM PT Technical questions regarding the contract documents should be directed in writing to the Capital Projects Management Division at Alex.Li@pw.cccounty.us.
