Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a civil project in Carleton Place, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Constructing a new arterial roadway with turning circle and northern service road. Installation of large box culverts, storm sewer and watermain, concrete works, streetlights and landscaping. The project described within these documents is for the Town of Carleton Place. The Town of Carleton Place is administering this Contract for the construction of Captain A. Roy Brown Boulevard from McNeely Avenue to Highway 15, including a roundabout intersection and McEachen Drive north for future development. It is noted that Captain A. Roy Brown Boulevard will not tie into Highway 15 as these works will be completed by the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) as part of a future project. The scope of work will include the complete construction of Captain A. Roy Brown Boulevard (2-lane urban cross section), McEachen Drive (2-lane urban cross section) and a roundabout intersection. Works in the contract are construction all roadway features including, curb and gutter (all types), sidewalks, medians, multi-use path, crosswalks (including tactile plates), line marking, signage, electrical streetlighting, channel improvements and landscaping. Drainage features will consist of a mix of on-road storm sewers and rock ditches with several large diameter culverts and armourstone retaining walls. The drainage will be conveyed to the Beckwith Drain outlet at the previously completed McNeely Avenue connection. It is expected that as part of the work a minor channel realignment and or pumping will be required to maintain drainage to the existing Beckwith Drain outlet while the new outlet channel is constructed. The existing channel has been identified as fish habitat and therefore fish rescues, dewatering and other diversion works will be required as part of the construction. This is above and beyond the general erosion and sediment control requirements of the contract. A Bid Bond made payable to the Corporation of the Town of Carleton Place in the amount of $100,000.00 shall be submitted electronically to the Town of Carleton Place with your electronic tender submission. Question Deadline 04/22/2025 at 11:00 AM ET Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
