There is an Alternate 1 and an Alternate 2 which calls for installation of a dry well and installation of rectangular rapid flashing beacons, respectively, to be performed by the contractor. If any bids for the base bid plus alternates 1 and 2 come in under the budget, the award will be made based on the base bid plus alternates 1 and 2; however, if all bids for the base bid plus alternates 1 and 2 exceed the budget figure, the award will be based on the base bid plus alternate 1; however, if all bids for the base bid plus alternate 1 exceed the budget, the award will be based on the base bid only.
