This Invitation to Tender (the "ITT") is an invitation by the City of Barrie (the "City") to prospective bidders to submit bids for Eastview Park Playground Revitalization and Site Works, as further described in Section A of the ITT Particulars (Appendix D) (the "Deliverables"). Barrie is an active and flourishing community where parks and recreation are an essential component of the City's commitment to health, active lifestyles and quality of living. Barrie prides itself on a comprehensive network of parks, green space, trail systems, and recreational opportunities. As part of the City's Playground Revitalization Program, the City aims to revitalize "traditional" play spaces to not only meet the needs and interests of surrounding communities, but to offer new, vibrant, and engaging experiences for all visitors. The Work consists of the supply of all labour, materials, equipment, and construction supervision necessary to complete the playground revitalization and supporting site works. The Work is anticipated to include, but is not limited to, site preparation, tree protection and care, removals of existing features, excavation, electrical works, grading, asphalt and concrete paving/curbing, application of play court line painting/acrylic topcoat, installation of safety surfacing, coordination of the installation of various play equipment, installation of site furnishings, stonework, planting and coordination with the project team ("the Work"). The purpose of this ITT is to secure the Work outlined in this ITT for Eastview Park, located at 453 Grove Street East, Barrie, Ontario L4M 5S1. FIN2025-022P has been issued to pre-select a subcontractor for the design, supply, delivery, and installation of the playground equipment. The successful proponent for FIN2025-022P shall be carried as an allowance under this FIN2025-062T ITT. The selected bidder shall be required to enter into Attachment 6 tripartite Novation Agreement with the City and the successful respondent to FIN2025-022P.
