Renovation of a medical facility in Philadelphia, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Replacement of Rooftop HVAC Equipment. Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate only upon the blank proposal forms provided with the bid documents and must be accompanied by Proposal Security in the form of Certified Check or acceptable Bid Bond in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid: such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute contract and post Performance and Payment Bond in the form and amount of 100% within the time specified. The Bid Bond, if used, shall be payable to the Owner. Bids on the Project must be received on or before the period scheduled for the Project and no bid withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the Project for a period of sixty (60) days. Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by Neshoba County General Hospital until 2:00 p.m., on March 27, 2025 for the Project shown below. The location of receipt of bids will be the Conference Room at Neshoba General, 1001 Holland Avenue Philadelphia, Mississippi 39350. All bids submitted in excess of $50,000.00 by a Prime or Subcontractor to do any work must comply with the Mississippi Contractors Act of 1985, by securing a Certificate of Responsibility from the State Board of Contractors The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities. Doc Notes: Plans and Specifications Entitled: Replacement of Rooftop HVAC Equipment Neshoba General Philadelphia, Mississippi. The Bid Package contracts will be issued between the Owner and the successful Contractor. This package shall include all bonds and taxes as required by the contract documents and the State of Mississippi. Should a bidder find discrepancies in or omissions from the drawings or project manual or be in doubt as to their written meaning, he should immediately notify the Architect/Engineer who then will send a written instruction or interpretation to all known holders of the documents. Neither the Owner nor the Architect will be responsible for any oral instructions WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. Work covered by the contract documents is the replacement of 5 each condenser / heat pump units at Neshoba General located in Philadelphia, MS. 1. Replace 5 each condenser / heat pump units LG.3 with 5 each condenser / heat pump units LG.5. a. Labor, materials and equipment. b. The mounting base is the same. c. The plumbing connections are the same. d. The communication connections are the same. 2. Process: a. Replace one unit at a time, keeping the hospital in business as much as possible. b. Unit start-up is to be by manufacturer. c. System balance should be by the contractor. d. Coolant from the existing units to be replaced shall be captured by the contractor. B. Start of Work: Work shall be started immediately upon issuance of a proceed order. Prior to this, all contracts and beginning documents will have been executed and insurance in force. C. Time of Completion: The completion of this work is to be on or before the time indicated in the Owner and Contractor Agreement. 90 days D. Contractor's Duties: 1. Except as specifically noted, provide and pay for: a. Labor, materials and equipment. b. Tools, construction equipment and machinery. c. Water and utilities required for construction. d. Other facilities and services necessary for proper execution and completion of work. 2. Pay legally required sales, consumer, use, payroll privilege and other taxes. 3. Secure and pay for, as necessary for proper execution and completion of work, and as applicable at time of receipt of bids: Permits. Government fees. Licenses. 4. Give required notices. 5. Comply with codes, ordinances, rules, regulations, orders and other legal requirements of public authorities which bear on performance of work. 6. Promptly submit written notice to Architect of observed variance of contract documents from legal requirements. It is not the Contractor responsibility to make certain that drawings and specifications comply
