The City of Brady (the "City") is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified professional engineering firms to provide technical services for preliminary engineering and design services of a proposed boat ramps extension at Brady Lake main park. Services will be procured in accordance with Chapter 2254, Subchapter A of the Texas Government Code (Professional Services Procurement Act). 1. Project Overview This RFQ is to acquire professional engineering services to assess the Brady Lake main park boat ramps, prepare preliminary technical report for extension of main boat ramps, produce an Opinion of Preliminary Probable Cost (OPPC), prepare final engineering design documents describing ramps extension configuration and an Opinion of Probable Cost (OPC). 2. Scope of Work The engineering firm selected will be responsible, in general, for the following tasks: 1. Preliminary Engineering Report: o Evaluate the current condition of the existing main boat ramps. o Produce a contour profile of underwater subsurface conditions beyond existing ramps. o Describe environmental requirements associated with improvements in surface water bodies in state of Texas. o Prepare conceptual ramp extension solutions and probable construction constraints and requirements. o Evaluate site-specific factors, which may include water levels, soil composition, geology, and environmental impacts. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all submissions and to waive any irregularities in the RFQ process.
