City of Bloomfield, KY is requesting Bids for the construction of the following project: BLOOMFIELD MEMORIAL PARK EXCAVATING WORK The City of Bloomfield is accepting bids for excavating work at the Bloomfield Memorial Park. The project includes: removal of asphalt, removal of retaining wall, level and resurface work, fill-dirt added and compacted, security fence, and sloping surface work. All bidders shall submit their Bid in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Bloomfield Memorial Park Excavating Work" The City of Bloomfield's project manager is Toni Burton and can be contacted at (502) 252-822 or tburton@bloomfieldky.org regarding this project Remove, resurface, and level existing basketball court and playground area to prepare ground for new playground equipment to be installed: 1) Removal of asphalt basketball court estimated to be 104' x 62' and 6' thick 2) Removal of retaining wall below basketball court estimated to be 45' in length. 3) Grade the site. 4) Fill dirt will be added to level surface. 5) Create slope using fill dirt/topsoil to allow for water run off where existing playground has been removed. 6) Grind the entire surface of the preexisting court to remove small bumps and irregularities. 7) Seed and straw disturbed areas. Bidders are requested to submit a lump-sum bid to complete the above scope of work. Bids shall be submitted on Bidder's letterhead and signed by an authorized binding official of the Bidder. Bids for the project shall include all costs associated with completing the work including, but not limited to, layout, testing, and unsuitable subgrade materials.
