Site work for a water / sewer project in Ahoskie, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project includes the following Work: 1 14,570 LF of New 6-Inch Water Main. 2 6,300 LF of New 8-Inch Water Main. 3 119 New Gate Valves (Various Diameters). 4 2 New 6-Inch Inserta Valves. 5 37 New Fire Hydrant Assemblies. 6 279 New Water Services. 7 Miscellaneous Appurtenances. Bid Security in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages bidding by small, minority and female contractors and does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status. Bids from qualified disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) are encouraged. A pre-bid conference will not be conducted for this Project Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Contact information and submittal procedures for such questions are as follows: A. Questions will not be taken by phone. Questions may be e-mailed to Engineer's E-mail address as follows: sbarnette@thewootencompany.com Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. EPA MBE/WBE participation goals: MBE 10.9% WBE 10.4%
