The City of Greenville is requesting bids from qualified contractors for the construction of a new International Farmyard and Event Space at the Greenville Zoo, located at 150 Cleveland Park Drive in Greenville, SC. The City of Greenville is requesting bids from qualified contractors for the construction of anew International Farmyard and Event Space at the Greenville Zoo, located at 150ClevelandPark Drive in Greenville, SC. This project includes sitework, the demolition of an existing farmyard exhibit, and construction of a new large barn with event space and two small enclosure spaces on either side. The large barn will consist of holding pens for the animal sand a guest walk through on the lower level, and an event space on the second floor. The two exhibits on either side of the barn are guest walk through exhibits and animal holding areas (add alternate 1). The scope of services is outlined more clearly in the construction plans and project manual. The project will be administered and managed by the City of Greenville. The contractor chosen to complete the work will be responsible for providing all materials and labor needed to complete the project as designed and intended. It is the contractor's responsibility to visit the site and review all construction plans. The contractor shall ensure this project maintains compliance with all American swith Disabilities (ADA) regulations, applicable building codes, SCDHEC requirements, and should notify the Project Manager immediately should there be any questions or concerns. The building permit application and site permit application have beens Submitted but will need to be finalized by the selected contractor prior to AHJ approval and permit issuance. Ifplan review comes back with comments while this IFB is still active andrequiressignificantchange, an addendum will be issued. The contractor will be responsible for obtaining any and all permits necessary for construction prior to commencing work. The Contractor wil lbe responsible for scheduling all inspections necessary to complete the workinaccordancewith issued permits. Permit fees originating from the City of Greenville will bewaivedforthis project. The deadline for questions is 2:00 p.m., April 2, 2025.
