Renovation of an educational facility in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Design plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Kentucky Community and Technical College System, Office for Facilities Support Services, (FSS) is seeking professional design services for the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) to complete OTB - Phase II Renovations in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. KCTCS has an original appropriation and/or authorization from the Commonwealth of Kentucky General Assembly that is expected to allow for the design and construction of the project. The Kentucky Community and Technical College System, Office for Facilities Support Services, on behalf of Elizabethtown Community & Technical College (ECTC) desires to procure professional architectural services and an associated project team to accomplish the Phase II renovation of the Occupational Technology Building (OTB) on their main campus in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. This is a continuation of a multiple phased project currently underway. Funding for Phase 2 of this project has been appropriated by the Kentucky General Assembly in the amount of $44,000,000. This establishes the total project budget for Phase 2 to be $44,000,000 with an estimated Construction budget of $33,000,000. The Funding for Phase II currently available, therefore, the design work for Phase II will commence immediately and renovation of Phase 2 (200 and 300 portions of the existing building and any additions designed) of this building will begin while the construction of Phase 1 is still underway. The design team for Phase I of this project is led by Ross Tarrant Architects for Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering and Landscape Architecture, with team members including Bacon Farmer Workman Engineering and Testing (Structural Engineers), Marcum Engineering LLC (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Plumbing) and a Commissioning Authority to be contracted by KCTCS. However, there are no assurances given that this team will continue with Phase II of this project. This determination at the time most advantageous to KCTCS/ ECTC and will consider the performance of the CM/GC during Phase 1 of this projects as well as all other factors and considerations that are in the best interest of KCTCS and ECTC. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
