Work under this contract covers the replacement of the windows and related work at the six story apartment building in central Edmonton, Alberta. The Contractor is to determine the actual quantity and locations of all equipment, building elements, materials, etc., and take all measurements and information required for the work. Contractor is to determine existing site conditions and construction assemblies affecting the execution of the work. Supply and Installation of new and complete window units as specification listed in the Project Manual Issued For Tender, that will be supplied by Vista Housing for Seniors to complete this project. The scope ofin the inspection was to determine if asbestos containing materials would be disturbed during a renovation project to replace all exterior windows at Piazza Italia - 9521 108A Ave, Edmonton. Four random suites were choosen on four different floors for inspection and testing. Only areas deemed to be disturbed by the renovation project were inspected but all areas of said renovation project were accessible to the inspector at the time of inspection. Destructive testing was necessary and permitted, and all suspected asbestos containing building materials identified by the inspector were sampled and sent for analysis. Assessment and determination for the potential of disturbance was not requested and therefore not included in this report. This report should not be used to satisfy a demolition permit as it was limited to areas of concern and not the entire building.
