The City of Gulf Breeze is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the construction of the Multi-Use Pathway - Phase II project. This project continues the City's long-standing effort to expand and enhance the Fairpoint-Shoreline multi-use pathway network, commonly known as "The Loop." The project includes extension of the existing multi-use pathway and pedestrian sidewalk from Tall Pine Drive to McAbee Court, construction of a bridge over the stormwater pond at McAbee Court and Shoreline Drive, installation of a permeable pedestrian pathway along the rear of the pond, reestablishment of the stormwater pond to its originally permitted shape and volume, and extensive landscaping and irrigation improvements throughout the corridor. The construction plans also include intersection landscaping improvements at Highway 98 and utility infrastructure replacements, including gas and water lines, to minimize future disturbance and improve cost efficiency.
