Clay County Commission is Currently Seeking Bids for County Grounds Maintenance. Duties Will Include Lawn Mowing, Sidewalk Edge Trimming, Tree/shrub Trimming, Herbicide Application as Needed, Overall Landscape Maintenance and Beautification, and Other Similar Duties as Needed. Grass Clippings Shall Be Cleaned From Streets and Sidewalks. Shrub and Tree Trimmings/dead Wood Shall Be Removed From the Property as Well. Bed Mulching at the Courthouse and County Annex Buildings Shall Be Done Annually With the Contractor Supplying Materials. The Contractor Shall Supply All Necessary Landscaping Materials, Equipment, and Fuel to Perform Said Maintenance. Property Locations to Be Maintained Include the Clay County Courthouse, County Commission Annex & Jail, Farmers Market/engineers Office, Hwy 148 Pumping Station Located in Millerville, County Extension Office, County Fuel Pumps, and Mellow Valley Recreational Park. Maintenance Shall Be Performed on an as Needed Basis as Dictated by the County Commission and/or County Administrator Not to Exceed One Cycle Every Two Weeks. Each Applicant Must Provide Written Proof of Liability Insurance Coverage. Contract Shall Be for a Time Period From April 14, 2025 to February 28, 2026. Contract May Be Extended for Up to Two Additional Years if Agreed Upon by the County Administrator and/or Commission Chairman and the Contractor. Grounds Maintenance as Described Above Shall Be for a Eight-month Time Period From April 14, 2025 to November 30, 2025 With the Exception of the Courthouse. Courthouse Grounds That Shall Be Cleaned and Maintained on a Full 12 Month Time Period. For the Months of December, January and February, the County Will Pay $100.00 Per Month for the Courthouse Grounds to Be Maintained. Please Submit Bid Prices in a Format of Dollars Per Maintenance Cycle.
