As of November 12, 2025, an engineer has been selected for the project. Bidding is estimated for April of 2026 and construction is estimated for June of 2026. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: CR Number: 2123541 The Village of Stamford (Village) wishes to replace and upsize water mains, install new hydrants, valves, and other appurtenances within the Village water system. The project area includes 900 LF of water main along West Main Street, 900 LF of water main along Route 10 and 250LF of water main along Grant Place. The Village is now seeking an engineering firm to environmental review (NEPA & SEQR), design, administer, construct and close out the project as needed. Financing is anticipated to include Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) at a minimum. Other funding may be sought in addition to CDBG funding. The selected engineering firm will be responsible for complying with all funding agencies requirements Utilizing a qualifications-based process, the Village will select a consulting engineering firm licensed in the State of New York to design, bid, administer and close out the project. The selection of the consultant will be valid for a period of three (3) years from the date of Village Board approval and the Village reserves the right to renew the selected consultant contract for an additional three (3) years. The Village of Stamford will award a contract to the engineering firm deemed most qualified to provide services as requested. The contract will include scope and extent of work as well as other essential requirements. The Village of Stamford reserves the right to reject any and all proposal.
