Purpose of the Request for Tenders The Corporation of the Town of Greater Napanee (hereinafter referred to as "the Town') is issuing this Request for Tender (hereinafter referred to as "RFT"), for the purpose of receiving submissions from a suitably qualified company to provide new resistant rubber flooring system in the Home Hardware rink within the Best and Bash Arena located at 16 McPherson Drive, Napanee, Ontario. Companies that make a submission in response to this RFT are referred to as "Respondents" and the Respondents' submissions are referred to as "Proposals". Scope of Services and Objectives The successful company will, in collaboration with Town Staff: Removal and disposal of existing rubber flooring Prepare concrete slab prior to new floor installation. Slab preparation consists of filling minor cracks, divots, control joints to a depth of 1/4" deep. Supply and Install 10mm resistant rubber flooring specifically designed for high-traffic and demanding indoor spaces, such as arenas. Area of application: Home Hardware Rink apron and two (2) dressing rooms (5 & 6). Price shall include freight, materials, and garbage bin. Attend mandatory site meeting before bid submission closing date. Square footage of total application area can be obtained during site meeting. Colour selection options should be included in the proposal. The successful company shall: Have experience with sales and installation of resistant rubber flooring in sports arenas; Have the ability to provide detailed cost estimating; Be responsible for their own Health and Safety as well as their employee; and the general public while working under contract on behalf of the Town; and Keep a responsible person/foreman on site when undertaking the work.
