SPECIFICATIONS / CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS: A. Scope of Work: The Contractor shall furnish, deliver and install one (1) stand-alone Air Compressor. The unit shall be equal to or approved equivalent to Kaeser Model 5C with dryer Vertical Rotary Screw type air compressor all in one unit. The Air Compressor shall have: 1. The compressor dimension "footprint" must be no greater than 36" W x 40" D x 60" H. 2. The compressor shall be a "Rotary Screw" system. 3. The compressor shall have start/stop control standard, and compressor shall automatically load after starting if system demands it. 4. The compressor shall have vertical receiver tank with automatic condensate drain, a maximum pressure rating of 230 psig, safety relief valve and liquid filled pressure gauge. 5. The compressor shall have an Integral refrigerated dryer condenses system. 6. The compressor Dryer system shall have a separate power supply shall be 115 Volts Single Phase 7. The compressor Dryer system shall be totally enclosed air over. 8. The compressor Dryer system shall be rated for 230 psig maximum working pressure drop not to exceed 3.2 psig 9. The compressor Dryer system shall have a moisture separator and electronic demand condensate drain trap 10. The compressor power supply shall be capable of 208 Volts 3 Phase 60 Hz system. 11. The control system power supply shall be 115 Volts single Phase 12. The compressor shall have a minimum of 5hp motor or greater. 13. The compressor shall produce a minimum of 21.0 cfm or greater with a discharge pressure of 125 psig or greater and shall cut in at 115psig and cut out at 125 psig. 14. The compressor shall be capable of continuous, full flow operations 24/7 365 days a year at its determined operational setting on completion of installation. 15. The compressor shall be installed, assembled, piped, wired and tested for leaks pressure, temperature, rotation and full load amp draw on site at time of delivery with no additional cost for parts or labor. PURPOSE: The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide, deliver and set-up one (1) stand-alone Air Compressor Vertical Rotary screw type air compressor all in one unit to Culpeper District Materials Section, 1601 Orange Road, Culpeper, VA. Date of Award: April 15, 2025 thru delivery of goods. (non-renewable) This solicitation is set-aside as Small Business Enhancement Award Priority. The Commonwealth will make the award(s) on grand total basis to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder that is a DSBSD-certified micro business if such a bid is received, provided that the bid is less than $10,000 and the agency in its sole discretion determines that the bid price is fair and reasonable. Otherwise, award of the contract shall be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder that is a DSBSD-certified small business if such a bid is received, provided that the bid is not more than $100,000 and the agency in its sole discretion determines that the bid price is fair and reasonable. If, in the agency's opinion, the criteria in the previous two sentences are not present, then award shall be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder of any size, provided the agency in its sole discretion determines that the price is fair and reasonable.
