Demolition and site work for a residential development in Joliet, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
Riverwalk Homes, formerly known as Evergreen Terrace, is currently a 356-affordable unit, 8-family building complex located at 358 N Broadway (Building A), 366 N Broadway (Building C), 363 N Broadway (Building D), 350 N Broadway (Building E, Management Building & Community rooms), 300-301 N Bluff (Building F), 311 N Bluff (Building G), 352 N Broadway (Building B) and 316 N Bluff (Building H). Per the HUD settlement and approved City Council ordinance, Riverwalk Homes will be reduced in size from 356 units to 177 units while rehabbing and upgrading the remaining units and site landscaping. The owner, Riverwalk Homes LLC, has proposed and agreed that buildings A, C, and D will remain and undergo rehabilitation to improve residents quality of life. Buildings B, G, H, and F will go through demolition. A new terraced plaza will be built after demolition. This project is recognized in the HAP contract agreement and the City of Joliet 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan. Commencement: Q1 2026 Completion: Q3 2027 1.) 26% MBE contracting 2.) 6% WBE contract The last day to submit RFIs is Friday March 28th, 2025, at 3:00 PM Central Time.
