Renovation of a municipal facility in Harrison Twp, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

This is an invitation for a bid for furnishing Labor, material, supplies and equipment to complete the project detailed on the Proposal and Contract Form and in the attached specifications. If the Scope of Work for any portion of this project includes the installation or repair of electrical, mechanical (HVAC), or plumbing (licensable trades), the bidder must include a copy of their applicable Michigan issued license for each trade included. If the Bidder intends to utilize subcontractors for licensable trades, the Bidder must disclose the legal business name / address / telephone number, description of the services provided by the subcontractor, a copy of the subcontractor's applicable license(s), and a current certificate of liability insurance for the subcontractor. If awarded, the Contractor is responsible for ensuring its subcontractors carry and maintain insurance coverage as applicable to the subcontracted service(s). Bid Security is not required for this Bid. Performance bond and payment bond are not required for this project unless Bid Amount is greater than $50,000.00. See Item #24 under General Conditions. The State reserves the right to award to that responsive and responsible bidder offering the best value to the State for the quality of the service to be supplied, conformity with specifications and suitability to the requirements of the State, or to reject any and all bids in whole or in part if the best interest of the State will be served. It is the vendor's responsibility to read, understand and follow the Instructions To Bidders, General Conditions and General Requirements included in this bidding document. MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING, IF REQUIRED: NO PRE-BID MEETING IS SCHEDULED. The Work to be completed under this contract includes furnishing all Labor, materials, and equipment to: Disconnect and dispose of existing backup generator and associated equipment at the Lake St. Clair Fisheries Research Station (the Station). Vendor will furnish, install, and start up a new natural gas-powered backup generator (Kw t/b/d based on bids received). Generator must have an automatic transfer switch to provide electricity to all circuits of the Station in the event of a power outage, including all furnaces, air conditioners, and freezers. The automatic transfer switch must activate and deactivate the generator when power from the electric grid is lost and subsequently restored without the need for Station staff to tend the generator manually. The generator must also be placed on a pre-cast equipment pad sized to fit and supplied by the vendor. Installation will be completed in accordance with all applicable codes and vendor will be responsible for all-natural gas and electrical connections and securing all needed permits and inspections. Prevailing wage rates apply. Time of Completion: Upon acceptance of the Proposal and Contract by the State, the Contractor agrees to complete all work by the end of the working day: July 31, 2025 FIRM. If the Scope of Work for this project includes electrical, mechanical, or plumbing (installation or repair), the bidder must include a copy of their Michigan issued license for each trade included. Bidders must disclose any portion of the work that will be provided by a subcontractor, and provide Michigan issued licenses and certificates of liability insurance for all subcontractors. VENDOR SUPPLIED 35KW, natural gas-powered backup generator with automatic transfer switch. - Vendor supplied generator must provide electricity to all circuits of the Fisheries Research Station in the event of a power outage. - Service includes all furnaces, air conditioners, and freezers. - The automatic transfer switch must activate and deactivate the generator when power from the electric grid is lost and subsequently restored, without the need for DNR staff to manually tend the generator. 2. VENDOR SUPPLIED pre-cast equipment pad sized to fit the generator. 3. VENDOR SUPPLIED additional equipment, components, parts, wiring, etc. The state reserves the right to reject any bids and to waive any defects in bids.
