Board of Education of Somonauk School District #432 in DeKalb County, Illinois, that sealed lump sum bids will be received for the following: Project: 2025 Flooring Replacement James R. Wood Elementary School 320 South Maple Street Somonauk, IL 60552 PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project includes, but is not limited to, the following: select interior flooring demolition and flooring replacement throughout corridor, vestibule, and select classrooms. Each individual bidder will be required to conduct a full examination of and field measurements of all areas during a mandatory pre-bid meeting indicated in schedule below. Asbestos abatement will be performed by others under a separate contract, prior to flooring installation commencing. The construction schedule is critical. Contractors shall commence work on the date of Notice To Proceed and shall complete all work in a diligent and professional manner by dates indicated in schedule below. This project requires prevailing wage rates and certified payroll. Bid Guarantee- All bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee that shall be not less than 10 percent of the amount of the base bid, and at the option of the bidder may be a certified check, bank draft, or a bid bond on AIA Form A-310, secured by a Guarantee or Surety Company.
