Hot-Mix Asphalt Surface Removal, Hot-Mix Asphalt Leveling Binder, Hot-Mix Asphalt Surface Course, and other appurtenant work. DESCRIPTION OF IMPROVEMENT: This proposed improvement to Ann Street and Magnuson Lane in the Village of Somonauk consists of hotmix asphalt surface removal to provide a butt joint at the ending of the proposed paving on the mainline and on intersecting side streets and private driveways, the placement of hot-mix asphalt leveling and surface courses over the existing bituminous pavement, sidewalk replacement to comply with current ADA standards, and other appurtenant work. GENERAL NOTE Contractor Prequalification for this project is required. A current "Certificate of Eligibility" must be presented in order to obtain bidding documents. COMPLETION DATE: Should the Contractor fail to complete the work by June 30, 2025, the Contractor shall be liable to the Village of Somonauk in the amount specified and in accordance with Article 108.09. This project is located on Ann Street from Green Street to Gage Street and Magnuson Lane, all in the Village of Somonauk, DeKalb County, Illinois for a distance of approximately 1,800 feet (0.34 miles) for hotmix asphalt resurfacing.
