Request for Proposal The City of Kankakee (the "City") will accept proposals for demolition of properties, located at 434 N. 5th Ave., Kankakee, IL, 440 N. 5th Ave., Kankakee, IL, 444 N. 5th Ave., Kankakee, IL, and 450 N. 5th Ave., Kankakee, IL (the "Properties"). Project Components In general, the demolition project may include the following components: . Fencing of the demolition site for public safety. . Removal of hazardous materials to a legal landfill as required by EPA and local regulations with certification that all materials have been disposed of properly. . Demolition of structure. . Site to be cleaned, raked, sodded or seeded, and nutrient blanket installed. This Project would consist of the following tasks: 1) Prepare all necessary plans and specifications. Prepared Plans and Specifications should be complete in detail and contain all necessary information consistent with standard professional practice. 2) Review and consult with City staff to confer on requirements, project considerations, and preferences; 3) Prepare a Cost Estimate for all demolition elements; 4) Submittal of an electronic copy of the finished Plans, Specifications and Cost Estimate; 5) Coordinate and respond to Requests for Information, review and respond to Submittals and other design-related documents as requested during bid process and until Project completion; Attend a pre-demolition conference and participate in other meetings as requested until Project completion; and 7) Coordinate and consult with ECDA Director during Project construction and until Project completion Question Deadline 03/31/2025
