The contractor(s) will provide consulting services on a time and material basis to Tacoma Power. The intent of the consulting services is to improve Tacoma Power's performance of certain functions and/or to temporarily take over actions of utility personnel so that those personnel may achieve other objectives. The work will be identified in workorders separately developed and authorized under the scope of the consultancy contract, which may include the activities of data gathering, issue summarization, analysis, development of recommendations, and performance of a specified utility operations. The contract will be for a three-year period with the option to renew the contract three additional one-year terms. The City reserves the right to cancel the contract for any reason, by written notice, as stipulated in the contract. Work will be performed as agreed in task orders signed under each contract. A given contract is not in and of itself a guarantee of paid work scope. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, including, in certain circumstances, for failure to appropriately acknowledge this addendum.
