Bid Security shall be required when the City Manager deems it appropriate or when required by law. If required, bids received for contracts shall be accompanied by a bid security through the provision of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount often percent (10%) of the proposed bid price, payable to the City of Wellington. Failure to provide the required bid security may be grounds for rejection of the bid. Performance Bond, bond on the part of the contractor for 100% of the contract price for any contract exceeding the sum of $100,000 for the purpose of making any public improvements, or constructing any public building or making repairs on the same or in other instances that the City Manager deems appropriate and when required by law.
