Demolition, site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Akron, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Project Description: Replacement of existing bridge deck which is currently in poor condition. Additional work includes concrete patching on the existing abutments, converting bearings to semi-integral, new expansion joints, sidewalks extending from bridge to existing sidewalk on Case Avenue, and new curb ramps for crossings at Kent St. and Case Ave. The new bridge deck will include sidewalks that meet or exceed current standards.
