The scope of asbestos abatement work is as follows: Base Bid: AA-1 Remove all sealants and ACM tar associated with reglets. Remove all layers of sealant and tar down to and from the underlying masonry to prepare the reglet to receive new sealant. Protect adjacent masonry and counter flashing that are scheduled to remain. Coordinate removals with the general contractor to ensure they are sufficient. Refer to architectural demolition (AD) series drawings for additional information. Approximately 400 square feet or 800 linear feet of ACM caulk/tar is scheduled for removal. AA-2 Remove and dispose of ACM tar applied to masonry (brick/stone panels), or metal flashing in the area indicated. In addition to the locations shown on the hm series drawings, include 1 square foot removal of tar in five (5) areas throughout the exterior of the building. Remove tar down to and from the underlying substrate. Protect adjacent masonry and window/door frames that are scheduled to remain. Coordinate work with the general contractor to ensure that removals are sufficient. Refer to masonry repair (MR) series drawings for additional information.
