Renovation of a multi-residential development in North Bergen, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
All Labor, Material and Equipment Associated With the Removal and Replacement of Fire Pumps and Associated Equipment at Paul F. Cullum Apartments (6299 Grand Avenue) a Fifteen-story Residential Building. the Base Bid Work of This Project, as Outlined Above, Shall Be Completed in a Period of One Hundred Eighty (180) Calendar Days. Work Will Be Performed in an Occupied Building and Will Be Phased and Coordinated With the Housing Authority. Checks Shall Be Made Payable to the Housing Authority of the Township of North Bergen. Bidders May Purchase Additional Sets of Documents From the Owner or Architect for $100.00 Each. Plans and Specification Must Be Picked Up or Mailed Deposits Received by the Architect Must Be Accompanied by a Check Made Payable to Lothrop Associates Architects Inc. In the Amount of $50.00, to Cover the Cost of Postage and Handling if Mailing is Desired. The Contract Will Be Awarded After Review is Complete. The Owner or Architect, Within Ten (10) Days of Opening, Will Notify All Interested Parties as to Their Decision. a Certified Check or Bank Draft Payable to the Housing Authority of the Township of North Bergen, United States Government Bonds, or a Satisfactory Bid Bond Executed by the Bidder and Acceptable Sureties in an Amount Equal to Five Percent (5%) of the Bid Shall Be Submitted by Each Bidder. The Surety Company Must Also Be Licensed to Do Business in the State of New Jersey. Attention is Called to the Provision of Equal Opportunity Employment and Prevailing Wages for Payments Not Less Than the Minimum Salaries and Wages as Set Forth in the Specification. Women and Minority Owned Business Contractors Are Encouraged to Submit Bids. No Bids Shall Be Withdrawn for a Period of Sixty (60) Days After the Opening of Bids Without the Consent of the Housing Authority of the Township of North Bergen. The project scope includes but is not limited to the following: The scope of this project includes all labor, material and equipment for the following: Fire Pump Replacement and related work at Paul F. Cullum Apartments. The above summary is a brief description of work on which the bidders are requested to perform and bid. Please review the bid package and submit bid as indicated below. Bids shall include all incidental apparatus, appliance, materials, labor, services necessary for a complete working assembly and installation. In addition to the Base Bid contractors are requested to submit a bid for the following Alternates: Each Contractor must fully comply with the requirements, terms and conditions of the U.S. HUD Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) requirements and the statements of HUD policy of April 14, 1981, including the goals established for minority business participation during the performance of this contract. The Contractor commits himself to the performance of positive efforts to achieve the goals for minority business participation contained herein and submitting a properly signed bid.
