Renovation of a municipal facility in Fremont, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
For Public Works Contracts between $60,000 to $200,000, let under the Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act, California Public Contract Code Section 22032(b) We recommend that if bidders are responding via a delivery service such as US Mail, UPS, FedEx or any way other than personally delivering the bid response that it is done as soon as possible to allow for any delays in the delivery process. Demolish and replace approximately 4,800 sq.ft. of existing flooring and approximately 1,300 l.f. of floor base; hallways and common areas to have LVT, offices to have carpet tile, and supply room to have VCT. Demolish existing kitchenette and replace with new kitchenette per provided plans. Installation of new chair rails and corner guards as indicated in provided plans. Installation of new doors with vision panels as indicated in provided plans. All other scope as indicated in provided plans. Time for Completion. The planned timeframe for commencement and completion of construction of the Project is: Sixty (60) calendar days (excluding holidays) from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed to Final Completion. License. This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classification(s): B. Contractors bidding as a joint venture must secure a joint venture license prior to award of the Contract for the Project. Bid Security. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to City, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. The bid security must guarantee that, upon award of the bid, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and submit the payment and performance bonds, the insurance certificates, and the other documentation required by the Contract Documents, within ten days after City's issuance of the Notice of Award. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price. General. Each Bid Proposal must be signed, sealed and submitted to City, using the form provided in the Contract Documents, by or before the Bid Deadline set forth in the Notice Inviting Bids. City reserves the right to amend or postpone the Bid Deadline by subsequent addendum. Faxed or emailed Bid Proposals will not be accepted, unless otherwise specified. Late submissions will be returned unopened. Each bidder is solely responsible for all of its costs to prepare and submit its bid and by submitting a bid waives any right to recover those costs from City. The bid price(s) must include all costs to perform the Work as specified, including all indirect costs such as applicable taxes, insurance and field offices.
