Renovation of a laboratory facility in Akron, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 3,000-square-foot laboratory facility.
This project will renovate about 3,000 SF of existing space on the first floor of Newton Hall for Research Labs for the College of Nursing. Their current space is in the basement of the building so moving the Labs to the first floor will provide much more visibility. The required spaces will include a Flexible Laboratory, Tissue Culture Laboratory, Work Area, Freezer Rooms, Imaging Room, and Director's Office. Edge Participation Goal: 5% of Contract Domestic Steel Use is Required Per Orc 153.011. Contract Estimated Cost General Contract $1,860,000.00 Alternate 1 $24,600.00 The Board of Trustees of the Ohio State University Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informalities or to Reject Any or All Bids. Question Deadline 10/07/2025: If the Bidder finds any perceived ambiguity, conflict, error, omission, or discrepancy within the Contract Documents, including the Drawings, Specifications, and Addenda, or between any of the Contract Documents and Applicable Law, the Bidder shall submit a written Request for Interpretation (RFI) to the A/E for an interpretation or clarification. The A/E shall respond to RFIs received more than 7 days before the bid opening.
