**As of June 10, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The City of Olympia (City) is requesting qualifications from firms interested in providing Design-Build (DB) services related to the Hands On Children's Museum (HOCM) Expansion project. The alternate Public Works contracting procedure authorized in RCW 39.10.300 through 39.10.330 will be utilized for this project. This project will utilize the Progressive Design-Build (PDB) project delivery method. The existing HOCM is approximately 28,000sf and is located in Olympia's East Bay waterfront, on a site of approximately two acres. The Project will include, but is not limited to, project programming and design; permitting; selective demolition and renovation at the existing building; new building/addition construction; utilities and infrastructure construction and tie-in; on-site improvements; parking lot expansion; and construction of site amenities and landscaping. The existing facility will remain occupied and operational during construction. The design and construction budget for this project is approximately $18,000,000.
