Renovation of a municipal facility in Orlando, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The intent of this Invitation for Bid is to resolve moisture intrusion and heat gain in the Public Works Administration Building (Building #1). This project will increase the energy efficiency of the building, which includes the current code requirement of continuous insulation. Improve the safety of the facility during natural disasters and allow the building to be operational. Replace window assemblies with missile impact, "E" rated frames and tinted low- E glazing. Install spandrel glass at floor slabs. Install hurricane-rated doors. The Estimated Cost for this project is $7,000,000.00. Question Deadline 08/25/2025 at 4:00 PM ET. Timely questions concerning this solicitation shall be submitted in online. A. Exploratory borings were obtained only for the Owner's use and are not a part of the Contract Documents. The log of borings is included herein for the Contractor's information, but is not a warrant of sub-surface conditions. A. Extent of site demolition is shown on drawings. B. Scope of Work: 1. This section includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required for the demolition, relocation and/or disposal of all building materials and equipment to be removed from the site. 2. This section provides for the complete or partial removal and disposal of specified existing structures, foundations, slabs, piping, roadways (including surface and base courses) and miscellaneous appurtenances encountered during construction operations. 3. Demolition includes: a. Demolition, partial removal and cutting of existing roadways and drainage culverts as required for the new construction. b. Distribution of salvageable, excess, and unacceptable materials. c. Off-site disposal of excess and unacceptable materials. C. Related Work Specified Elsewhere: 1. Site Clearing: Section 31 10 00. 2. Pavement Removal and Replacement: Section 02 41 13. A. Site clearing shall be performed as designated on the Drawings. B. Site clearing work includes, but is not limited to: Removal of trees and roots Removal of grass and other vegetation Topsoil stripping Grubbing Removal of above grade improvements Removal of below grade i A. All erosion, sedimentation and water pollution control features shall be in place or relocated as designated on the plans prior to the start of any clearing, grubbing, grading or construction. Contractor shall be responsible for the installation and maintenance of all temporary erosion control features. B. Location of the control features shall be in accordance with the Drawings or as required to facilitate drainage and control erosion and sedimentation within and adjacent to the site. C. Control features are defined as, but not limited to, swales, berms, silt fences, silt barriers and temporary fences. A. Summary Of Work: Project scope includes 1.) The demolition of the existing curtain wall system and the design and installation of new thermally sealed curtain wall systems and shading elements to reduce solar gain to the building envelope. 2.) Minor interior alterations to receive new curtain wall systems. 3.) Landscaping and civil alterations, including replanting existing trees and plants in kind. 4.) Project to be phased, demolition and new construction. Phasing of construction to consist of 4 major zones that are segmented into sections as shown in the architectural documents. Existing building envelope must maintain life safety requirements and to be weather sealed during demolition and new construction.
